Haley Walsh is such a phenomenal writer that she can keep you waiting in her "to be continued" series. If you read 'Foxe Tail' , then you already knew that Skyler Foxe is the ultimate amatuer sleuth bordering on OCD in regard to finding out the real facts. He questions everything, and that is what makes these stories so interesting and fun. Skyler's character is exposed to reveal his own insecurities about relationships and commitments and you just might find that we can all relate to one or two aspects of those self-questions. When one of Skyler's friends dies in mysterious circumstances, Skyler is on his OCD trail to find out more while juggling a "boyfiend?" relationship that caught him by surprise. Meanwhile, we catch ourselves saying "Skyler, don't be a dumba**, just trust your instincts" or some such phrase (Good job there too, Haley!). I highly recommend reading 'Foxe Tail' first to get more acquainted with Skyler and his friends and to enjoy 'Foxe Hunt' even more, but then...

Dangerous curves ahead
Now that Alex Chun's first book on Bill Ward is sold out Fantagraphics have wisely decided there is a market for a cheaper edition. This is not a straight reprint of the original, 'The Glamour Girls of Bill Ward' (ISBN 1560975318) which was a large size portfolio edition, beautifully printed. This current title is much smaller with an edited intro from the original but what looks like a different selection of art. Still good value if you like Bill's art.

Considering that he can only really be considered on the fringes of quality girly art it is amazing that three books of his output have been published in the last three years. Ward claims to have drawn thousands of pin-ups over the years so I expect there will be more titles in the future.

So. This book is so dirty and awesome, I can't even write about it on Amazon. Oh yes, my review has been rejected three times. If that appeals to you, buy this book and read it cover to cover. All the stories are amazing. So amazing, I can't even quote them here, because apparently that will also get me rejected. But trust me, the authors that write here are amazing and Mr. Sinclair I-Don't-Think-I-Can-Write-Their-Last-Name did a wonderful job selecting a wide range of characters, authors, and scenarios. They are like King Midas: Everything they touch turns to gold.

I will also tell you that these pieces don't all fall into my standard definition of what we would normally call B, followed by the letters D, S, and finally M (apparently I can't write that down either, we'll see how this version goes.) So even if you wouldn't normally enjoy things pertaining to that acronym, get the book anyway. You won't regret it.
